Every month, Centreon extends its monitoring connector catalog and implements new connectors, allowing you to connect your IT monitoring with always more ITOps tools. 

The result: increased visibility and business observability capabilities. We also offer enhancements and fixes on existing connectors.

This October 2024, we’re introducing two new monitoring connectors and a few fixes on existing ones.

Two new monitoring connectors was added to the catalog this month

Linux Centreon Monitoring Agent

The Linux Centreon Monitoring Agent monitoring connector is part of the work initiated by Centreon to complete its own monitoring agent implementing the OpenTelemetry protocol. Using this connector, you can monitor a Linux host and control many features including CPU usage, memory usage, host load, system synchronization with an NTP server, virtual memory usage, and uptime.

Windows Centreon Monitoring Agent

The Windows Centreon Monitoring Agent monitoring connector is part of the work initiated by Centreon to complete its own monitoring agent implementing the OpenTelemetry protocol. Using this monitoring connector, you can check synchronization with an NTP server, the number of active sessions, pending updates, as well as Windows restart requests.

Bug Fixes

Cisco WLC

Fixed host template used in the host discovery template mapper.

CyberPower Systems PDU SNMP

Fixed power value in load mode (the value is no longer multiplied by 10).

HPE Primera REST API

Fixed header leading to API authentication issue, based on community feedback. (https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/pull/5183).

Linux NRPE4 & Linux SSH & Linux Telegraf Agent

Added an `–output-fields` option for some OSs in the systemd-journal mode, when journalctl is in version 236 or higher.

Rapid Recovery SNMP

Fixed typo in commands for the repository and agent modes.

Stormshield SNMP

The temperature value is now correctly used in the hardware mode.

VMware vCenter

Fixed the unit for the latency for the vsan-cluster-usage mode.

Enhancements

Ansible Tower

Added `filter-time` option to jobs mode, redesigned from community contribution (https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/pull/4990) and added Host IP to the returned fields of host discovery.

Cisco Meraki Rest API

Added Centreon user-agent key to Meraki API calls.

Cisco Standard

Added `add-fc-fe-errors` option to interfaces mode.

CyberPower Systems PDU SNMP

Added `phase-voltage` metric to load mode.

Linux SNMP & Linux SNMP v3

Added an option `force-64bits-counters` to switch to 64-bit counters for memory mode.

Rubrik Rest API

Added a host macro to support several ways to authenticate to the API.

WD NAS SNMP

Added support for ex4100 models in volumes, listvolumes and hardware modes, from community contributions (https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/pull/4805 , https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/pull/4806 and https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/pull/4807 ).

Cisco WLC

Added host macros to the AP host template to make configuration easier.
