Glossary Infrastructure Monitoring Management (ITIM)

Infrastructure Monitoring Management (ITIM) refers to a process and a range of software tools that collect, map, analyze and share data from a diversity of IT devices and applications to ensure IT infrastructure—and the critical business activities that depend on the IT system, are running at peak performance and that IT service is delivered to users. More specifically, the data collected through infrastructure monitoring allow to conduct everyday IT activities such as managing capacity, determining availability, managing SLAs and contributing to the security of the modern digital business.
