Among its many services is an SMS gateway service that can be accessed through a Rest API to automatically send SMS from any software application. Some IT alerts are critical enough that some qualified personnel or members of the management team must be notified right away. Text messages on a mobile phone are a sure way to reach people anytime of the day, anywhere. Centreon provides a connector to the OVH Télécom SMS API to automatically send SMS notifications of those critical alerts.

Slack offers many IRC-style features, including persistent chat rooms (channels) organized by topic, private groups, and direct messaging.
