New Monitoring Connectors  – February 2025

Blog New Monitoring Connectors  – February 2025

Every month, Centreon extends its monitoring connector catalog and implements new connectors, allowing you to connect your IT monitoring with always more ITOps tools.

The result: increased visibility and business observability capabilities. We also offer enhancements and fixes on existing connectors.

For February,  2025, we’re introducing two new monitoring connectors, multiple improvements, and a few fixes on existing ones.

Many improvements stem from our community members’ suggestions and ideas. We thank Watchers for their contribution to our software’s continued evolution.

You can also read the related documentation, contact our sales team, or post a message on The Watch to learn more.

Reminder:  Plugin Packs have been renamed. We are now referring to them as monitoring connectors.

Two new monitoring connector was added to the catalog this month.

HAPRoxy Web

With the HAProxy Web monitoring connector you can monitor HAProxy, an open-source load balancing and reverse proxy solution known for its reliability, speed, and flexibility. The connector enables monitoring of ‘backend’ usage along with associated “servers” and ‘frontend ‘usage along with associated “listeners”. The deployment of these services is simplified by two dedicated discovery rules automating deployment based on available resources.

Podman REST API

As part of the goal to monitor virtualization resources, the Podman REST API monitoring connector has been added to our catalog of connectors. The Podman REST API is a programming interface that enables remote management of containers and pods (groups of containers sharing the same resources) via a REST API. The connector monitors containers, pods, and system status. Two service discovery rules for pods and containers facilitate its seamless deployment.
