Every month, Centreon extends its monitoring connector catalog and implements new connectors, allowing you to connect your IT monitoring with always more ITOps tools.
The result: increased visibility and business observability capabilities. We also offer enhancements and fixes on existing connectors.
For March 2025, we’re introducing two new monitoring connectors, multiple improvements, and a few fixes on existing ones.
Many improvements stem from our community members’ suggestions and ideas. We thank Watchers for their contribution to our software’s continued evolution.
You can also read the related documentation, contact our sales team, or post a message on The Watch to learn more.
Reminder: Plugin Packs have been renamed. We are now referring to them as monitoring connectors.
Two new monitoring connector was added to the catalog this month.
VMWare 8 ESX Rest API
As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We are planning to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Feel free to share your feedback on this and more generally on this connector via this post on The Watch.
Veeam Centreon Monitoring Agent
As part of the Centreon Monitoring Agent campaign, we are introducing the new Veeam Centreon Monitoring Agent connector. It covers the same monitoring scope as the existing Veeam NSClient++ NRPE connector available in our catalog. This includes monitoring job status, licenses, repositories, tape jobs, and SureBackup jobs. This connector is currently experimental, as it is linked to the OpenTelemetry beta program and Agent (see the dedicated section on The Watch). This connector was made possible thanks to an idea from The Watch.
